Neotalent Conclusion is seeking a Data Engineer for a healthcare data interoperability project in Portugal. You will build scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform and harmonize clinical data from multiple systems, enabling interoperability across diverse healthcare environments.

The role requires strong Python/SQL skills, experience with HL7 v2 and FHIR, and a track record of implementing interoperable APIs. Remote work is possible, with a focus on impactful healthcare outcomes.

Qualificações

Role Overview

We are looking for a Data Engineer – Healthcare Data & Interoperability to join our teams in a highly impactful healthcare project focused on the integration, transformation, and harmonization of clinical data from multiple healthcare systems and institutions.

You will play a key role in building scalable data solutions, enabling interoperability across complex healthcare ecosystems, and supporting the adoption of industry standards and best practices for healthcare data management.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and processing pipelines for clinical and healthcare data;
• Integrate data from hospital systems, clinical applications, APIs, and heterogeneous data sources;
• Design and implement data mapping, normalization, and harmonization processes, including the adoption of common healthcare data models;
• Develop and consume REST APIs, including interoperability solutions based on FHIR resources;
• Ensure data quality, traceability, consistency, security, and governance throughout the data lifecycle.

What you are like

• Experience with Python and SQL for large-scale data processing and transformation;
• Experienced in healthcare data integration and interoperability environments;
• Familiar with healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 v2, FHIR, and CDA;
• Knowledgeable in clinical messaging standards, including ADT, ORU, ORM, and SIU;
