Job summary

iTRTech Group is seeking a data professional for a Data Engineer / Cloud role in a hybrid setup based in Lisbon, Portugal. The candidate will design enterprise data platforms, translate business requirements into scalable, secure architectures, and provide leadership across architecture and data engineering teams.

Required are 5+ years in data and solution architecture, expertise in cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), and a strong command of ETL/ELT, CDC, and data governance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data architecture, solution architecture, and enterprise data platform design.
• Advanced knowledge of Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, Lakehouses, Big Data, relational databases, and NoSQL.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP and scalable, secure architectures.
• Strong ETL/ELT, APIs, CDC, streaming, and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality, Security, GDPR.
• Experience defining standards and reference architectures within Enterprise Architecture.
• Fluent English and strong technical leadership.

About The Opportunity

We are looking for a Data Engineer / Cloud professional with strong architecture expertise to design enterprise data platforms. You will translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient solutions, providing technical leadership across architecture and data engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality, Security, Data Lineage, Metadata Management, Master Data Management (MDM), and GDPR.
• Experience defining standards and reference architectures within Enterprise Architecture.
• Fluent English, strong technical leadership, and effective communication with multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, and Redshift.
• Experience in the Energy & Utilities sector.
• Knowledge of Analytics, Machine Learning, and AI.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, Jira, and Confluence.
