Amaris Consulting seeks an experienced Data Engineer to join its global data team. You will analyze business processes, model data, and deliver robust data pipelines using SQL and PySpark.

You will design Power BI dashboards and publish production-ready reports, ensuring data quality and governance across Microsoft Fabric/Azure Synapse environments. The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, data architecture, and scalable data solutions in an international context.

Qualificações

• 5+ years in data engineering with data modelling focus.
• 3+ years with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse and Power BI report development.
• Proven track record as a Data Engineer with Power BI development (Paginated/SSRS).
• Strong Microsoft Data Stack expertise: Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Experience in Data Lake/Data Lakehouse implementations and data governance.

Responsabilidades

• Liaise with business contacts to clarify requirements and specifications.
• Ingest new data elements into the data platform as needed.

• Document data engineering processes, system architecture and data flows for knowledge sharing.

Your missions

• Analyze and understand business processes and data models to identify missing data and ensure data quality.
• Liaise with business contacts or analysts to clarify requirements and specifications.
• Ingest new data elements into the data platform as needed.
• Design and implement dashboards and reports in Power BI to provide actionable insights.
• Follow up on user acceptance testing (UAT) issues and ensure their resolution.
• Publish data and reports to production environments.
• Develop database schemas, define relationships, and optimize performance for data solutions on Microsoft Fabric/Azure Synapse.
• Develop data products using SQL and PySpark, implementing data quality checks and security measures.
• Document data engineering processes, system architecture, and data flow diagrams for knowledge sharing.

Your profile

• Experience in data engineering with a focus on data modelling (5+ years).
• Experience in Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse and Power BI report development (3+ years).
• Proven track record as a Data Engineer or similar role, including Power BI development (Paginated or SSRS reports).
• Core expertise in the Microsoft Data Stack, especially Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Experience in Data Lake and Data Lakehouse implementation (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server, Apache Spark/Hadoop).
• Experience in Data Vault and dimensional data modeling techniques.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or Java.
• Proficiency in the Apache Spark framework.
• Knowledge of Finance/Accounting logic in ERP, ideally with D365 F&O. Understanding humanitarian accounting logic is a benefit.
• Experience in data governance, architecture, and handling large datasets and data pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud architecture and networking principles.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data workflows (e.g., using Azure DevOps).
• Academic background: relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Fluent English. Other languages are a plus.
• You demonstrate strong communication and mentoring skills and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
