A leading consulting firm in Porto is looking for a passionate Data Engineer to design and implement data architectures. You will develop pipelines and collaborate with teams to ensure data quality. Ideal candidates have 2-4 years of experience and proficiency in SQL, Python, and Microsoft Azure tools. Qualificações

• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Mastery of Microsoft tools and services: Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Azure SQL and Fabric.
• Knowledge of ingestion tools and modeling tools.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical thinking and excellent communication skills; English proficiency.

ABOUT YOU

Are you a Data Engineer passionate about turning data into scalable, business-oriented solutions? Do you enjoy combining technical precision with real-world impact? Then this opportunity is for you.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Participate in the design and implementation of modern, secure, and efficient data architectures
• Develop, improve and maintain data pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Tools, Fabric and Databricks
• Build optimized ELT/ETL solutions for large volumes of data
• Ensure data quality, traceability and consistency of information
• Collaborate with BI teams, data scientists, and business stakeholders
• Document and share best practices

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, preferably in a consulting environment
• Mastery of Microsoft tools and services: Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Azure SQL and Fabric
• Proficiency in SQL, Python and Spark (Databricks/Fabric)
• Knowledge of continuous integration and DevOps and Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Sharp analytical mind with a keen sense of critical thinking
• Excellent communication skills and a natural team player
• English proficiency, enabling effective collaboration in a global context
• And above all: you know how to listen, think, ask, propose, and collaborate

WE ALSO VALUE

• Experience with tools from other Cloud Providers like AWS and GCP, or from other Data Warehouse like Snowflake
• Knowledge of ingestion tools like Fivetran, modeling tools like DBT and orchestration with Airflow are highly valuated
• Experience in developing API functions
