We are looking for a Data Architect with strong expertise in Data Governance, Data Quality and modern Data Platforms, with proven experience in Microsoft Fabric and Databricks.
You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders, defining data architecture standards, governance practices and scalable solutions within a large and collaborative environment.
Hybrid, with the option to travel between Lisbon and Porto (preferably once a month).
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Data Governance & Data Quality frameworks, practices and processes.
- Experience with Data Ownership, Data Stewardship, Business Glossary, Data Catalog and Data Lineage.
- Experience with Data Governance and/or Data Quality tools.
- Strong knowledge of databases and analytical technologies, including Data Lake, Lakehouse and NoSQL architectures.
- Experience with at least one Cloud platform: Azure, AWS or GCP.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric and Databricks, including their architectures and data governance capabilities.
- Ability to define data architecture standards and governance solutions and guide technical and business teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary and/or global teams.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English.
Nice to have
- Experience in the Energy & Utilities sector.
- Knowledge of GDPR, data privacy and protection.
- Experience in strategic or organizational transformation projects.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Experience defining Data Governance operating models, data catalogs, business glossaries, data ownership, data stewardship, data lineage and data quality metrics.
What will you do?
- Define and evolve Data Architecture, Data Governance and Data Quality frameworks, standards and guidelines.
- Design and promote scalable data solutions across different platforms, technologies and teams.
- Define Data Quality methodologies, metrics and KPIs, supporting continuous monitoring and improvement.
- Lead strategic Data Governance and Data Quality initiatives, working with Data Owners, Data Stewards, technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Promote the adoption of Data Governance and Data Quality practices through guidelines, enablement and stakeholder engagement.
