Join our Client Data Strategy & Governance team and play a key role in shaping and governing the organization's data assets. This position is responsible for the identification, analysis, documentation, cataloging, and governance of enterprise data assets, ensuring their quality, traceability, and availability for analytical, operational, and Artificial Intelligence initiatives.
Working closely with Data Owners, Data Stewards, business stakeholders, technical teams, Data Architecture, and the AI Directorate, you will contribute to building a comprehensive view of the organization's data landscape and the continuous evolution of its Data Governance framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and map data assets, business entities, attributes, and relationships across multiple data domains and subdomains.
- Analyze and document source systems, data flows, business rules, and application dependencies.
- Collaborate with Data Owners and Data Stewards to collect, validate, and formalize knowledge related to data assets.
- Identify information gaps, data quality issues, and opportunities to improve data management processes.
- Ensure consistent documentation and ownership of data assets in alignment with the organization's Data Governance model.
- Support data cataloging, classification, and metadata management initiatives.
- Develop and maintain data models that support business and governance requirements.
- Translate data requirements into functional specifications and governance rules.
- Contribute to data lineage, traceability, and data quality initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience in Data Analysis, Data Governance, or related data management roles.
- Strong understanding of Data Lineage, Metadata Management, Data Quality, and Master Data Management (MDM).
- Experience cataloging, classifying, and documenting enterprise data assets.
- Experience with data modeling concepts and techniques.
- Ability to gather and translate business requirements into data specifications and governance processes.
- Knowledge of T-SQL.
- Experience working within project delivery frameworks such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or Waterfall.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, including:
- OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, Data Engineering, Data Science, Power BI
- Understanding of modern data architectures, including Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
- Knowledge of Data Mesh principles, including domain-driven ownership, data products, and decentralized data management.
