Job summary

Ivy Partners in Portugal is seeking a Data & Analytics Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of Azure cloud infrastructure and data platforms supporting analytics services.

You will design, deploy, and maintain Terraform-based infrastructure, build CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and Git, and collaborate with international teams to align operations with business needs while embedding security into processes.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including services supporting data processing and analytics workloads.
• Advanced expertise in Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure.
• Strong experience with Azure DevOps, including Pipelines, Boards, and Repos, alongside proficiency in Git.
• Proven scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or Shell.
• Strong operational knowledge of Linux, particularly Red Hat, and Windows Server environments.
• A solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP, as well as security principles such as SSL/TLS and network isolation.
• Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure and platform issues in production environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improving reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
• Strong communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate effectively with international teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of Azure cloud infrastructure and data platforms supporting data processing and analytics services.
• Apply DevOps practices to streamline infrastructure delivery and operations through automation, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD.
• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring consistent and repeatable deployments.
• Build, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git.
• Monitor platform health using Datadog and Azure Monitor, proactively identifying issues and resolving complex Level 2 and Level 3 incidents.
• Investigate root causes and implement lasting improvements to reduce recurring incidents and strengthen platform resilience.
• Automate operational tasks and service requests, including cloud account management and SSL certificate renewals.
• Embed security controls into deployment pipelines and operational processes.
• Collaborate with international teams to align platform operations and improvements with business needs.
