Job summary

We’re looking for the amazing you to join KCS IT as a Cybersecurity Cloud Engineer. The role blends security, cloud, and infra work with a hybrid flex model, 1x at the office. You will support Azure cloud security, IAM, RBAC, and security monitoring across IaaS and PaaS for multiple clients.

We value dedication, energy, integrity and teamwork, and offer training, international projects in Benelux, and a mix of remote and onsite opportunities across our Porto, Leiria and Azores hubs.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in Cybersecurity, Cloud, or Infrastructure roles.
• Strong security focus with hands-on Azure experience.
• Familiarity with Identity & Access Management and cloud security fundamentals.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot security events in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Support the security of Azure cloud environments (IaaS and PaaS).
• Assess existing cloud architectures and identify security risks.
• Contribute to designing secure cloud architectures (networking, isolation, access control).
• Collaborate with Cloud, Infrastructure, and DevOps teams.
• Implement or support Identity & Access Management in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Assist with Conditional Access, RBAC and least privilege; review authentication events.

We are looking for an Amazing: Cybersecurity Cloud Engineer

Seniority: 2-5 years in Cybersecurity, Cloud or Infrastructure roles

Work model: hybrid flex 1x at the office

The amazing you, will have:

• 2–5 years of experience in Cybersecurity, Cloud, or Infrastructure roles
• with a strong security focus.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Solid understanding of:
• Identity & Access Management
• Cloud security fundamentals
• Networking security concepts
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Comfortable working in environments with limited security tooling.

Responsibilities:

• Support the security of Azure cloud environments (IaaS and PaaS).
• Assess existing cloud architectures and identify technical security risks.
• Contribute to the design of secure cloud architectures (networking,isolation, access control).
• Work closely with Cloud, Infrastructure and DevOps teams.
• Identity & Access Management:
• o Support identity and access security in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure
• AD)
• Contribute to the implementation of:
• Conditional Access
• Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and least privilege
• Review authentication events and access patterns
• Security Monitoring & Incident Support:
• Support the analysis of security incidents related to cloud and
• identity
• Work with available logs and telemetry (cloud, identity, application)
• Collaborate with internal teams or external SOC partners
• Help improve detection and visibility over time
• Vulnerability Management & Hardening:
• Identify vulnerabilities and misconfigurations in cloud workloads.
• Recommend and follow up on hardening actions.
• Support risk prioritization based on real technical impact.
• Automation & Security-by-Design:
• Support basic security automation (scripts, policies, templates).
• Contribute to security-by-design practices in new cloud services.
• Promote secure configuration as part of day-to-day cloud operations

To turn yourself from amazing to unique, you´ll have (plus):

• Scripting (PowerShell, Python)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep)
• Containers (AKS, Container Apps)
• Knowledge of Zero Trust and DevSecOps principles.
