Job summary

Stadler Digital Labs, a joint venture between Stadler Rail and Critical Software, seeks a Cyber Security Engineer to join the security team in Portugal, focusing on OT security and secure design for rail-digital solutions.

You will work in a hybrid setup with offices in Coimbra or Lisbon, contributing to safer, smarter transportation technology while staying ahead of AI-driven security trends.

Qualifications

• Academic background in Cyber Security or equivalent experience.
• Professional experience in Cyber Security OT is mandatory.
• Knowledge of security standards: ISO 27001, ISA/IEC 62443, ISO 21434, NIST CSF is a plus.
• Knowledge of security architecture, network security, and secure design practices.
• Experience with network security, risk assessments, threat modelling, architecture reviews, testing and vulnerability assessments.
• Curious and proactive in learning and developing skills.
• Team player who collaborates and supports goals.
• Respectful of diverse views and committed to a purpose-driven community.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Awareness of AI trends and curiosity to explore AI-enhanced solutions.
• Learning mindset toward emerging technologies and openness to experimentation in AI-enabled environments.

Could you be the Cyber Security Engineer that we've been looking for?

What do we expect from you?

• Academic background in Cyber Security or equivalent professional experience
• Profissional experience in Cyber Security OT (is mandatory)
• Knowledgeable of security standards and regulations, such as ISO 27001, ISA/IEC 62443, ISO 21434, NIST Cyber Security Framework (is a plus)
• Knowledgeable about cyber security, including security architecture concepts, network security concepts and security design best practices
• Previous experience with network security, security risk assessments, threat modelling, security architecture reviews, system security testing and vulnerability assessments
• Curious and with a proactive attitude towards learning and further developing your skills, knowledge and competencies
• You put the 'T' in team - you're a team player, willing to help others and to work towards achieving common goals
