Stadler Digital Labs, a joint venture between Stadler Rail and Critical Software, is seeking a RAMS Engineer to strengthen safety, reliability, and maintainability of rail systems.

You will perform hazard analyses, FMEA/FTA, reliability calculations, and safety-case support, using DOORS and BlockSim, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams and traveling as needed.

Qualificações

  • Academic background in System Engineering or similar.
  • Experience with safety standards for railway systems.
  • Knowledge of safety analysis methods (FMEA, FTA).
  • Familiarity with software/hardware lifecycles.
  • Ability to travel and work across cultures.
  • Strong English communication skills.

Responsabilidades

  • Contribute to RAMS engineering for rail systems.
  • Perform safety analyses and reliability calculations.
  • Apply DOORS and BlockSim tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Stay updated on AI trends in product development.

Could you be the RAMS Engineer that we've been looking for?

What do we expect from you?

  • Academic background in System Engineering or similar (Electrotechnics, Electromechanical, Mechanical, Robotic Engineering, etc.)
  • Good knowledge in configuration management procedures;
  • Experience in Verification and Validation and/or Quality Assurance;
  • Knowledge about system and software development lifecycles;
  • Safety Standards, in particular for Railway systems;
  • Safety Analysis like FMEAs, FTAs, Hazard analysis and other techniques;
  • Reliability calculations for complex systems;
  • Typical tools used for Safety systems development like DOORS, BlockSim, etc..;
  • Passionate and driven, curious and willing to share your knowledge, but also learn with others - regardless of their background, tenure or seniority
  • Excited with the prospect of travelling and getting in touch with different cultures and realities
  • English language capabilities such that communication is not a burden and new places are something trill to explore
  • Demonstrates awareness of AI trends (including agentic AI), with curiosity and motivation to explore how they can enhance products, processes, or ways of working;
  • Shows a learning mindset toward emerging technologies and an openness to experiment, adapt, and continuously upskill in an AI-enabled environment.
