Hutchinson in Lisbon seeks a Quality Engineer to join the automotive team, contributing to FMEAs, defining quality specifications, and supporting control plans and process audits.

The ideal candidate has an engineering degree, 1+ year in automotive quality, strong SPC/DOE skills, and English fluency; you will work on documentation updates and respond to customer quality issues within a global, innovative fluids, sealing systems and vibration solutions environment.

Competenze

• Engineering degree required.
• At least 1 year in automotive quality engineering.
• Strong statistical analysis skills (SPC, DOE).
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills (8D, KT).
• Ability to work independently with good written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of quality tools: FMEA, PPAP, APQP, CSR, LLC, 5Why, Ishikawa.
• IATF 16949 experience is desirable.
• Fluency in English.

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Higher Education in Engineering;
• 1 + Year Quality Engineering experience in automotive industry;
• Strong statistical analysis skills (SPC, DOE, etc.);
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies;
• Excellent problem-solving skills (8D, KT, or similar);
• Must be able to work independently, be highly motivated, and have excellent written and verbal communications skills;
• Knowledge of quality tools: FMEA, PPAP, APQP, CSR, LLC, 5Why, Ishikawa, etc;
• Experience with IATF 16949 Automotive Quality Management System Standard is highly desirable;
• Fluency in English;

Key responsibilities:

• Participate in project team, collaborating in the realization of FMEA's and in the definition of quality specifications in processes;
• Collaborate in the elaboration of Control Plans;
• Participate in the process audits and collaborate in defining and implementing the actions resulting from these same audits;
• Manage the process of customer claims;
• Participate in the permanent updating of documentation, namely: control plan, P-FMEA, R-FMEA, work instructions, process and product confirmation lists.
