Job summary

Hutchinson in Lisbon seeks a Quality Engineer to join the automotive team, contributing to FMEAs, defining quality specifications, and supporting control plans and process audits.

The ideal candidate has an engineering degree, 1+ year in automotive quality, strong SPC/DOE skills, and English fluency; you will work on documentation updates and respond to customer quality issues within a global, innovative fluids, sealing systems and vibration solutions environment.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required.
• At least 1 year in automotive quality engineering.
• Strong statistical analysis skills (SPC, DOE).
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills (8D, KT).
• Ability to work independently with good written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of quality tools: FMEA, PPAP, APQP, CSR, LLC, 5Why, Ishikawa.
• IATF 16949 experience is desirable.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Participate in project teams, contributing to FMEAs and defining quality specifications.
• Collaborate in the elaboration of Control Plans.
• Support process audits and implement actions from audits.
• Manage the process of customer claims.
• Maintain and update documentation: control plan, PFMEA, RFMEA, work instructions, and process/product confirmation lists.
