Aptiv PLC in Portugal (Braga) is seeking a Customer Product Quality Engineer to act as the main link between customers, manufacturing and product development. You will support new product introductions, oversee returns, and drive continuous improvement with quality tools.

The role requires 1–3 years in an industrial setting (preferably automotive), strong English skills and knowledge of ISO/IATF standards, plus familiarity with SPC, MSA, APQP, PPAP and PFMEA.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Proficient English speaking and writing.
• 1–3 years in an industrial environment (preferably automotive).
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA, AIAG.
• Familiarity with automotive core tools (SPC, MSA, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Minitab and Power BI are a plus.

As a Customer Product Quality Engineer, you will be the key link between customers, manufacturing and product development, ensuring customer satisfaction, driving problem solving & continuous improvement, enhancing APTIV automotive footprint.

Reporting to the Program Quality Manager, you will:

Your Role

• Act as the main point of contact for external customers, managing their satisfaction and main metrics.
• Support new product introductions and transitions to production.
• Oversee and manage customer returns (0KM), leading multidisciplinary teams in problem-solving and continuous improvement (8D, Quality Tools, Six Sigma).
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 through audits and quality processes.
• Support the development and implementation of quality assurance processes and procedures.

Your Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Management, or related fields.
• Proficient English-speaking skills (written and spoken).
• 1-3 years of experience in an industrial environment (preferably automotive).
• Knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA, AIAG).
• Familiarity with automotive core tools ( SPC, MSA, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, Minitab and Power BI as a plus.
