Job summary

SeaLink is seeking a Contract Baker in Faro, Portugal to prepare and bake a variety of breads and pastries in a fast-paced bakery. You will follow recipes, monitor ovens, and ensure high quality while maintaining safety and cleanliness. English communication is essential, Portuguese a plus, and EU residency may be required.

Accommodation is provided, with growth opportunities within the company and a chance to experience Faro's coastal culture during downtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional bakery experience.
• Knowledge of baking techniques, measurements, ingredients and equipment.
• Ability to read and follow recipes precisely.
• Attention to detail for plating and presentation.
• Strong time management and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication in English; Portuguese a plus.
• Must have biometric passport or EU citizenship/residency status.
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake various breads, pastries, and other baked goods.
• Follow recipes and quality standards to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor oven temperatures and adjust as needed.
• Inspect raw materials for freshness and quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work station.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely production and delivery of baked goods.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
