Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a Baker in a bakery or restaurant setting.
• Knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients such as yeast, flour, sugar, etc.
• Ability to read and follow recipes accurately.
• Attention to detail with excellent time-management skills.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods of time and lift heavy trays or bags of flour/sugar.
• Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays if needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare doughs, batters, fillings, icings, and other ingredients according to recipes
• Measure and mix ingredients to create various types of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods
• Roll out dough for pie crusts or pastries
• Shape dough into loaves or rolls before baking
• Monitor the oven temperature and adjust as needed to ensure even baking
• Decorate baked goods with icing or other toppings
• Package finished products for sale or display
• Keep work area clean and organized at all times

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Baker to join our team on a contract basis in Funchal, Portugal. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of breads, pastries, and other baked goods according to recipes and customer orders. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Baker, as well as knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients. This is a contract position without accommodation provided, but we offer free visa sponsorship and travel ticket.

Salary

The salary for this contract position is $1700 per month.
