IET – Instituto Empresarial do Tâmega is a private, non-profit association with a scientific and technical focus. It was born from the joint efforts of institutional, business and competitiveness support entities, aiming to foster entrepreneurial and innovation-driven development in northern Portugal, particularly in the Tâmega and Sousa region.
Internally, we are committed to creating an inspiring work environment, where our team members can develop their potential and contribute to innovation and the region’s economic and social development.
The CEI 11 Hub project aims to promote, support, and foster social innovation and impact entrepreneurship by bringing together ideas, people, organisations, and resources in synergy. The goal is to create, develop, and sustain socially impactful projects in the Douro, Tâmega and Sousa region.
Focusing on both local social institutions and vulnerable groups—particularly long-term unemployed women and NEET youth—the initiative will deliver, over 36 months, a series of incubation and acceleration programmes, bootcamps, mentoring, consulting, networking, competitions, and other awareness and training actions. These aim to foster the creation and development of projects that respond to local social needs and empower the community to become active agents of change.
The initiative provides an integrated response that generates sustainable, positive social impact by promoting a culture of impact entrepreneurship and encouraging philanthropy within the business and social sectors, through the creation of networks with local organisations.
