Job summary

MetLife Portugal is seeking a Collections and AI-enabled Operations Specialist to optimize receivables and drive process improvements in our Lisbon office.

You will manage customer collections, generate KPI reports, collaborate with Finance, Sales and Customer Service, and push automation through AI, RPA, and Power Platform to boost productivity and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Experience in collections processes.
• Knowledge of Power BI and Power Automate; AI tools differentiator; advanced English and native Portuguese.

Job description

Ensure efficient management of collections and receivables for the Portugal operation, contributing to process optimization, customer management, and continuous process improvement.

The role focuses on improving collection performance indicators and strengthening operational controls while promoting the use of digital solutions, Artificial Intelligence (AI), data analytics, and automation to increase productivity, analytical capability, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of customers with outstanding balances and follow up on collection actions.
• Produce performance, aging, and collection KPI reports.
• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, and Customer Service teams.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
• Promote the automation of collection processes through RPA and Power Automate solutions.

Artificial Intelligence Competencies

• Use generative AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, or equivalent solutions for analysis and productivity.
• Create effective prompts to generate reports, communications, and analyses.
• Interpret insights generated by AI tools to support decision-making.
• Participate in automation initiatives using AI and data analytics.
• Ensure the responsible and secure use of AI tools.

Compliance and Operational Control

• Ensure compliance with internal policies, collection procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits related to receivables and collection processes.
• Maintain appropriate documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
• Monitor and follow up on corrective actions resulting from audits or control reviews.
• Contribute to strengthening operational controls.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience in Collections.
• Knowledge of Power BI , Power Automate is an advantage.
• Knowledge of AI tools will be considered a differentiating factor.
• Advanced level of English and native Portuguese.

The expected salary range for this position is €22,600 - €32,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
