Decskill, an IT consulting company, is growing its Cloud Systems Engineer team in Portugal. The role covers architecture validation, infrastructure provisioning, and documentation across Azure, AWS or GCP for enterprise projects.

You will work with DevOps/MLOps practices, containerization, and secure secret management to deliver production‑ready solutions. Strong communication and English proficiency are required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Engineering or similar.
• Written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Experience with one of Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Knowledge of IT solution architecture and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with CI/CD principles and scripting (GitHub Actions).
• Experience with cloud services such as Azure OpenAI, AI search, vector stores and data pipelines.

Responsabilidades

• Support in designing low‑complexity solutions.
• Validation of new reference architectures.
• Support for projects and applications, ensuring alignment with the reference architectures.
• Creation and maintenance of detailed technical documentation.
• Support for end‑to‑end implementation of the infrastructure, including provisioning, deployments and issue resolution.

We are looking for an Cloud Systems Engineer!

Responsabilities:

• Support in designing low‑complexity solutions
• Validation of new reference architectures.
• Support for projects and applications, ensuring alignment with the reference architectures developed.
• Creation and maintenance of detailed technical documentation.
• Support for end‑to‑end implementation of the infrastructure that supports the projects developed, including provisioning, pipeline construction, deployment, technical support, and issue resolution.

Requirements:

• Up to 5 years of experience in the role for the service to be contracted
• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Engineering or similar
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with one of the following providers: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Knowledge of IT solution architecture.
• Knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• One of the following certifications:

2. AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate

• Proven experience on setup and maintaining Azure infrastructure - production‑ready and adhering to the best practices, namely:
• Proven experience developing and deploying applications on Azure
• Azure Functions and Logic Apps: Experience building serverless applications.
• Azure OpenAI Service: Experience with deploying and using models like GPT‑4 and text embedding models.
• Azure AI Search / AI Foundry: Knowledge of creating and managing vector stores for similarity search.
• Data Factory and Databricks for ingestion pipelines
• Azure Blob Storage for cloud storage solutions
• CosmosDB: Knowledge of creating and managing long‑term memory
• Application Insights: Knowledge of logging setup

DevOps & MLOps:

• Proficiency with Docker for containerizing applications, Azure Container Registry as a plus.
• Experience deploying applications to multiple environments (e.g., dev, production) on Azure.
• Proven CI/CD principles and scripting for automation, namely GitHub Actions.
• Secrets management using Azure Key Vault, GitHub and HashiCorp Vault

API and External Services Integration

• Setting REST APIs based on WebApps (Fast API) and Azure Functions.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, Azure AD, and token‑based authentication.

Management Tools

• ServiceNow: good knowledge of ServiceNow (or equivalent) for ticket registration and tracking
• Jira/Confluence: good knowledge of Jira for activity tracking
• Good level of english.
