Job summary

Axians Portugal is seeking a Cloud Specialist to join an international team modernizing and migrating applications to AWS environments. You will design cloud architectures, automate deployments, ensure security and availability, and support transformation initiatives.

Ideal candidates have deep AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CDK experience, plus networking/security know-how, English proficiency, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer in complex programs.
• Strong experience with AWS.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Experience with CDK.
• Advanced experience with Networking, Security and virtualization technologies.
• Good English skills, both spoken and written.
• Development background in Java is a plus.
• AWS Certification is a plus; willing to travel abroad.

Responsibilities

• Designing and architecting solutions for client applications moving to cloud environments (AWS).
• Designing and building tools and frameworks to deploy and manage platforms.
• Suggesting architecture and process improvements for cloud projects.
• Troubleshooting scalability, high availability, performance, monitoring, backups and restores.
• Ensuring security with cloud security solutions across platforms.
• System troubleshooting across platform and application domains.
• Create and optimize automated build and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with Cloud Infrastructure team on migration projects.
• Enable developers on cloud migration and provide guidance.

Cloud Specialist

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a Cloud Specialist to join an international team focused on modernizing and migrating applications to AWS environments. In this role, you will be responsible for designing cloud architectures, automating deployment processes, ensuring platform security and availability, and supporting technology transformation initiatives. We are seeking a professional with solid experience in AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Cloud Infrastructure, capable of both implementing solutions and supporting development teams throughout cloud migration projects.

What You Will Do On a Daily Basis

• Designing and architecting solutions for existing client facing applications as they are moved into cloud environments, such as, AWS;
• Designing and building tools as well as frameworks that support deploying and managing our platforms;
• Suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements;
• Supporting and troubleshooting scalability, high availability, performance, monitoring, back-up and restores of different environments;
• Ensuring critical system security through the use of best in class cloud security solutions;
• System troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains;
• Create, maintain and optimize automated build and deployment pipelines;
• Work with Cloud Infrastructure team on Cloud migration of applications;
• Act as enabler for other developers on Cloud migration.

Your Main Qualifications
