Job summary

Five9 is seeking a results-driven Cloud Governance Engineer to help standardize operations across GCP, AWS, and Azure while ensuring regulatory compliance. You will partner with Security, IT, and Product teams to implement IAM controls and monitor security posture.

The role requires hands-on experience with IaC and cloud security tools, plus the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse business stakeholders in a hybrid Porto setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in cloud environments (GCP preferred).
• Experience with public cloud services (EC2, VPC, S3/GCS, IAM).
• Hands-on with IAM, network security, encryption and data protection tools (e.g., GCP Organization Policy, AWS Config, or Azure Policy).
• Proficiency in CI/CD scripting and automation tools (e.g., Ansible) for cloud governance and infra management.
• Knowledge of IaC tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
• Ability to translate technical information into business-friendly language and work with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement governance strategies, policies, frameworks, and procedures in a multi-cloud environment (GCP, AWS, Azure) to standardize business operations and ensure regulatory compliance (SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR).
• Collaborate with security teams to enforce IAM policies and network security best practices across the organization.
• Develop and maintain dashboards tracking cloud governance metrics (security posture, key rotation, compliance).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify SLOs, KPIs, and metrics for operational efficiency and compliance.
• Coordinate with IT, Finance, Security, DevOps, Cloud Architects, and Product Engineering to maintain governance controls across environments.
