Job summary

BGBx is seeking an Infrastructure & Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain cloud-based data platforms and production pipelines. You will work on GCP, BigQuery, and modern data tooling, ensuring scalable, secure, and reliable systems across the team.

You’ll join an AI-native engineering group that emphasizes autonomy, rapid delivery, and rigorous controls. The role demands strong coding, data handling, and collaboration across data scientists, analysts, and product teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on infrastructure/data engineering or similar
• Strong Python and SQL skills
• GCP experience with BigQuery and Google Cloud Storage
• Terraform or IaC tooling experience
• Kubernetes experience
• Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow/Dagster/Prefect/Flyte)
• Experience building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
• Understanding of data lineage, metadata, and data quality

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure and data platforms on GCP
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines and orchestration workflows
• Manage infrastructure with Terraform and IaC practices
• Deploy and operate containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes
• Develop data solutions using Python and SQL
• Work with large-scale datasets using BigQuery and GCS
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Implement data lineage, metadata, and data dependency tracking
• Monitor infrastructure and pipelines, troubleshoot issues, optimize reliability and cost
• Manage cloud permissions, secrets, service accounts, and security
• Support data consumers, engineers, analysts, data scientists, and product teams
• Improve automation, observability, deployment processes, and engineering standards
• Use AI-assisted engineering tools with proper review, testing, and controls
