Job summary

EventMakers Entertainment in Braga, Portugal is seeking a skilled Turner to operate and maintain metalworking machines, reading blueprints and engineering drawings to follow exact specifications. You will set up lathes, milling machines, grinders and drill presses, measure parts with calipers and micrometers, perform routine maintenance, and strictly follow safety protocols; shift flexibility is required.

This is a contract role based in Braga, Portugal.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Turner or similar role.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge of metalworking processes and machining techniques.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
• Flexibility to work different shifts as needed.

Job Title: Turner - Braga, Portugal

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Turner to join our team in Braga, Portugal. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machine tools to shape and finish metal parts according to specifications. This is a contract job with a salary of 1700$ per month.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine the proper machining operations

• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using measuring instruments
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery

Requirements:

• Good physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy materials and operate machinery for extended periods of time

Preferred Qualifications:

• Trade school certification or apprenticeship in machining or related field
• Experience working with CNC machines is a plus
