About The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Camunda BPM Developer to design, implement and optimise business processes for telecom and enterprise environments.
You will translate business requirements into executable BPMN workflows, integrating APIs, microservices and external systems to deliver reliable and scalable process orchestration solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse business and operational processes and translate them into BPMN models.
- Design and implement workflows using Camunda, preferably Camunda 8.
- Support process discovery, modelling and functional and technical design.
- Build orchestration flows integrating APIs, microservices, external systems and business rules.
- Test, troubleshoot and optimise workflows, identifying bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to architecture decisions, delivery planning and technical governance.
- Produce process diagrams, technical documentation and implementation guidelines.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum activities, including backlog refinement and story mapping.
- Provide technical leadership to distributed or offshore engineering teams.
Mandatory Requirements
- Strong hands-on Camunda experience, ideally with Camunda 8.
- Strong knowledge of BPMN 2.0 and business process modelling.
- Experience in workflow orchestration, process automation or BPM platforms.
- Practical experience in process discovery, design and optimisation.
- Backend development background, preferably with Java, Spring Boot or equivalent enterprise technologies.
- Experience integrating workflows with REST APIs, microservices, and external systems.
- Good understanding of distributed systems and enterprise application integration.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong communication skills with business and technical stakeholders.
- English proficiency at B2 level or above.
- Availability for the hybrid schedule in Lisbon, Porto or Fundão.
Nice to Have
- Pega Systems and TM Forum Open APIs.
- Telecom, OSS/BSS, autonomous networks or operational process automation experience.
- Knowledge of intent-driven design, closed-loop assurance or telecom network automation.
- Process mining, workflow analytics and bottleneck analysis.
- DMN, FEEL, Zeebe, Operate, Tasklist or related Camunda 8 components.
- Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD and observability tools.
- Workflow testing strategies and automated validation.
