Linum Consult is supporting a leading international design & build contractor to appoint a senior Business Development Manager in Lisbon, Portugal. You will drive growth by identifying opportunities, engaging developers, investors and occupiers, and translating opportunities into major turnkey contracts.

You will leverage an extensive network in the Iberian market, work with cross-functional teams, and represent the business at industry events to shape the Portuguese market strategy.

Qualificações

• Approximately 10+ years' experience in business development or related role within construction.
• Strong background in Design & Build, EPC, general contracting or turnkey construction.
• Demonstrable success in developing and winning significant construction projects.

Responsabilidades

• Identify major upcoming industrial, logistics and commercial development opportunities.
• Develop relationships with developers, investors, occupiers, manufacturers and other key decision-makers.
• Build a strong network across the Portuguese real estate and construction market.
• Identify international companies planning new facilities or investment in Portugal.
• Manage the complete business development cycle from initial contact through to contract signature.
• Develop strategic account plans for key clients and target sectors.
• Understand clients' investment plans and position the company early in project development.
• Work with design, estimating, technical and construction teams to develop turnkey solutions.
• Support commercial structuring and negotiation of Design & Build contracts.
• Represent the business at industry events and professional networks.
• Provide market intelligence to support Iberian growth strategy.

Business Development Manager – Portugal Lisbon | Industrial & Logistics Construction | Design & Build Linum Consult is supporting a leading international design & build contractor specialising in the delivery of major industrial, logistics and commercial facilities across Europe. As part of its continued expansion in Southern Europe, the company is looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager in Lisbon to help accelerate its growth across the Portuguese market. This is a senior, highly autonomous commercial position for someone with an established network and the ability to develop relationships at developer, investor and end-user level, identify projects at an early stage and convert opportunities into major design & build contracts.

The Role

You will take responsibility for developing new business opportunities across Portugal, from initial market intelligence and client engagement through to negotiation and contract award.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Identifying major upcoming industrial, logistics and commercial development opportunities
• Developing relationships with developers, investors, occupiers, manufacturers and other key decision-makers
• Building a strong network across the Portuguese real estate and construction market
• Identifying international companies planning new facilities or investment in Portugal
• Managing the complete business development cycle from initial contact through to contract signature
• Developing strategic account plans for key clients and target sectors
• Understanding clients' investment plans and positioning the company at the earliest stages of project development
• Working closely with design, estimating, technical and construction teams to develop compelling turnkey solutions
• Supporting the commercial structuring and negotiation of Design & Build contracts
• Representing the business at industry events, conferences and professional networks
• Providing market intelligence and contributing directly to the company's wider Iberian growth strategy

Your Background

We are looking for an established business developer who understands both the commercial and technical dynamics of major construction projects.

You should bring:

• Approximately 10+ years' experience in business development, commercial development or a related role within construction
• A strong background within Design & Build, EPC, general contracting or turnkey construction
• Demonstrable success in developing and winning significant construction projects
• An established professional network within Portugal and/or the wider Iberian market
• Strong understanding of industrial, logistics, commercial or technically complex buildings
• The ability to engage credibly with senior executives, developers, investors and international clients
• A degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business or a related discipline
• Fluent Portuguese and English
• Eligibility to work within the EU
