Amaris Consulting is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our IS&D practice in Portugal. You will gather and document business requirements, translate them into epics and user stories, and collaborate with product, UX and engineering teams to deliver value across digital platforms.

You will support product owners with backlog refinement, identify risks, and ensure clear documentation and strong stakeholder communication. Fluent English is required; international exposure is a plus.

Qualificações

• Degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Experience as a Business/Functional Analyst in complex digital environments.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Jira, APIs and system integrations.
• Fluent English (C1); Italian a plus depending on project.

Would you like to start a new professional adventure as a Senior Business Analyst in one of our opportunities in the Information Systems & Digital (IS&D) industry in Portugal?

• Gather, analyse and document business and functional requirements from multiple stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into clear epics, user stories and acceptance criteria ready for development.
• Support Product Owners with backlog refinement, prioritisation and requirements clarification.
• Collaborate with UX Designers, Solution Architects and Engineering teams to ensure solution alignment.
• Analyse system integrations, backend services and API-based solutions to support digital platforms.
• Identify dependencies, risks and technical constraints across multiple teams.
• Maintain clear and traceable project documentation, including functional and technical decisions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, workshops and vendor evaluation activities when required.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst in complex digital environments.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, Jira, business analysis, functional analysis, APIs and system integrations.
• Fluent English (C1 level); Italian is considered a plus depending on the project.
• Strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice to have:

• Experience with IoT, connectivity or connected devices.
• Knowledge of mobile applications (iOS/Android) and backend ecosystems.
• Experience in digital transformation, system migration or legacy modernisation programmes.
• Exposure to documenting solution or architecture decisions in large-scale programmes.
