Closer Consulting, a Data Science company, seeks a skilled Business Analyst for Credit Risk Stress Testing in Lisbon. The role is hybrid, collaborating with Risk, Finance, and regulatory teams to translate complex regulations into actionable specifications.

You will work with ETL teams on data flows, define data quality rules, and support stress test cycles while leveraging SQL and Python in a modern analytics environment.

Qualificações

• Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related quantitative field.
• Proven BA/functional expert background in Credit Risk, IFRS 9, Basel or stress testing.
• Strong requirements gathering, functional analysis, process mapping, and test planning.
• Hands-on SQL experience; Oracle DB / PL-SQL preferred.
• Strong Python skills; PySpark/Dataiku a plus.
• Fluency in English (C1); French a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Gather and analyze business requirements from RISK, Finance, and regulatory stakeholders within an Agile framework.
• Translate Basel IV, IFRS 9, Climate & EBA Stress Tests into user stories, specs, data models, and acceptance criteria.
• Participate in official stress test cycles, metrics calculation (provisions, cost of risk, capital, RWA), and support end-users.
• Work with dev/ETL teams to define engines, interfaces, data flows, and transformation logic.
• Define and maintain data quality rules, data dictionaries, validation checks, and test scenarios.
• Suggest continuous improvements to ensure engine scalability and operational efficiency.

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst for Credit Risk Stress Testing eager to take on new challenges in a hybrid work model in Lisbon.

Are you the one?

• Gather and analyze business requirements from RISK, Finance, and regulatory stakeholders within an Agile framework.
• Translate complex regulatory needs (Basel IV, IFRS 9, Climate & EBA Stress Tests) into user stories, functional specifications, data models, and acceptance criteria.
• Participate directly in the execution of official stress test cycles, metrics calculation (provisions, cost of risk, capital, RWA), and provide functional support to end-users.
• Work closely with dev/ETL teams to define calculation engines, user interfaces, data flows, and transformation logic.
• Define and maintain data quality rules, data dictionaries, validation checks, and test scenarios.
• Proactively suggest continuous improvements to guarantee engine scalability, maintainability, and operational efficiency.
• Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst / Functional Expert in Credit Risk, IFRS 9, Basel regulations, or Stress Testing in the Banking/Financial sector.
• Strong skills in business requirements gathering, functional analysis, process mapping, and test planning.
• Hands‑on proficiency in SQL (Oracle DB / PL-SQL experience is highly desirable).
• Strong technical capability in Python (knowledge of PySpark or Dataiku is a distinct plus).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (Jira or Azure DevOps).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1 mandatory); French knowledge is a plus.
