Consort Group in Porto, Portugal, seeks a Senior Business Analyst to lead the full lifecycle of business requirements in strategic data transformation initiatives. You will bridge business stakeholders and development teams, translating needs into scalable, high-quality solutions that improve data accessibility and operational efficiency.

You will drive analytics governance, support API/data virtualization, and contribute to data quality while aligning with MVP goals and Agile delivery.

Formación

• 3+ years as a Business Analyst in IT or data transformation projects.
• Experience bridging business needs and IT solutions with clear specs.
• Knowledge of data quality, governance and integration concepts.

Responsabilidades

• Gather, challenge, and document business requirements through workshops and interviews.
• Translate needs into functional specs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and models.
• Manage and prioritize product backlogs in Agile environments.
• Support integration of new data sources, interfaces, and technologies.
• Coordinate IST and UAT testing, defect tracking, and validation.
• Produce project documentation, governance reports, and status updates.
• Collaborate with dev teams to ensure correct understanding and delivery.
• Ensure data quality and reporting consistency across systems.

Are you passionate about data transformation, systems integration, and Agile delivery? Then this position is for you.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of business requirements within strategic data transformation initiatives. Acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, you will ensure that business needs are translated into scalable, high-quality solutions that improve data accessibility, consistency, and operational efficiency.

You will contribute to the evolution of enterprise data ecosystems by supporting the integration of modern technologies, such as APIs and data virtualization, while maintaining a strong focus on data quality, governance, and business value.

Build Side

• Gather, challenge, and document business requirements through workshops, interviews, and stakeholder engagement.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process models.
• Analyze existing processes and design optimized target-state workflows.
• Manage and prioritize product backlogs in alignment with Agile methodologies and MVP objectives.
• Support the integration of new data sources, interfaces, and technologies across enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure requirements are correctly understood and implemented.
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment and decision-making throughout project delivery.
• Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving data quality, reporting consistency, and operational efficiency.

Run Side

• Own and coordinate testing activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Define testing strategies and prepare Integration System Testing (IST) scenarios.
• Coordinate Functional Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
• Manage defects, testing traceability, and validation processes.
• Monitor data consistency and investigate data quality issues across multiple sources.
• Perform root-cause analysis and support corrective action plans.
• Assist end users during solution validation, deployment, and adoption phases.
• Produce project documentation, reports, and governance materials.

This is your background

You have at least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst within an IT environment, ideally working on data-driven transformation projects, system integrations, or enterprise applications.

You enjoy collaborating with both business and technical stakeholders, transforming complex challenges into practical solutions, and driving projects that improve business performance and data reliability.
