Job summary

Welocalize, Inc. is seeking a translator/editor to manage translation and copy-editing tasks for diverse projects.

You will coordinate with freelancers and agencies, maintain language resources, and resolve terminology queries while collaborating with clients and internal teams to optimize workflows. The role emphasizes maintaining glossaries, Style Guides, and other language materials, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to project standards across multiple languages.

Qualifications

• University degree in Translation/Applied Languages/Linguistic Studies or equivalent
• University degree in another field plus 2 years full-time translation experience
• 5 years of full-time professional translation experience
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
• 4+ years of experience in translation/localization/editing or content writing
• 2+ years of review experience
• Good experience with Windows and Office
• Familiarity with CAT tools (XTM, SDL Studio) and issue tracking tools
• Ability to learn new localization tools quickly
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with tight deadlines
• Ability to provide constructive feedback

Responsibilities

• Performing copy-edit tasks on assigned projects or accounts
• Performing on-demand translation tasks
• Performing lead support on assigned projects or accounts
• Managing and maintaining language materials (glossaries, Style Guides, work instructions)
• Ensuring good interaction among team members and resolving terminology questions
• Testing and qualifying new freelancers and vendors
• Developing and training internal linguists and external partners
• Interacting with clients on linguistic matters as required
• Participating in new and improved working processes
• Meeting or exceeding KPIs in productivity, on-time delivery, quality
