Job summary

KCS IT is seeking a Backend Developer / Software Engineer for a HYBRID role in Braga. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of professional software development and strong backend skills with experience in Python, PHP, C#, Go or Java, in Linux environments.

You will work with containerization tools like Docker or Podman, and use web/app servers such as Nginx, Apache or Tomcat. Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of CI/CD, databases, and open-source deployments is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in software development and systems integration.
• Strong backend development experience with Python, PHP, C#, Go or Java.

The amazing you, will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field;
• 3+ years of professional experience in software development and systems integration;
• Strong experience in Backend development using at least one of the following technologies: Python, PHP, C#, Go or Java;
• Solid experience with Linux environments and system administration;
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Podman;
• Knowledge of web and application servers (Nginx, Apache, Tomcat);
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, Redis or SQLite;
• Experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub) and CI/CD practices;
• Knowledge of scripting and automation tools (Bash, Ansible);
• Experience in deploying, maintaining and integrating open-source solutions;
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
