Описание: At IRIUM, we want you to always chase your dreams! Here, get ready to achieve your goals while enjoying the journey. We are currently looking for a Backend Developer (Java / Spring Boot) to join an innovative technology project in Lisbon.

Задачи

• Develop, maintain and optimize scalable backend applications
• Identify and implement software development best practices and technical improvements
• Adopt AI-powered development tools to improve productivity and code quality
• Produce and maintain technical documentation
• Support junior developers through task specification, technical guidance and deliverable validation
• Collaborate with production support teams, ensuring effective knowledge transfer
• Work closely with Product Owners to understand business requirements and deliver technical solutions
• Contribute to code quality, application reliability and continuous improvement

Требования

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in backend software development
• Strong hands‑on experience with Java 17 or higher, Spring Boot and Hibernate
• Experience designing, developing and integrating REST APIs
• Solid knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including Oracle, PostgreSQL and MongoDB
• Experience with Git and version control best practices
• Knowledge of messaging systems, particularly Apache Kafka
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with Scrum and Agile methodologies
• Experience developing, maintaining and improving enterprise applications
• Ability to produce technical documentation and apply software engineering best practices
• Experience mentoring and supporting junior developers, assigning tasks and reviewing deliverables
• Strong communication, analytical thinking, autonomy, proactivity and teamwork skills
• Interest in using AI-assisted development tools to improve software engineering processes

• Knowledge of Document Management Systems, OCR and Generative AI (GenAI)
• Experience with Cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure or AWS
