Job summary

Yazaki Europe Middle East and Africa is seeking a Component Engineer in Portugal (Ovar). You will design, develop and validate routing components for automotive wire harness systems, coordinating with engineering teams and customers from concept to serial production.

The role requires strong CAD skills (CATIA/SolidWorks), EPLAN knowledge, and a degree in Mechanical Engineering. English fluency is essential; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
• Excellent CAD skills with CATIA/SolidWorks and EPLAN experience.
• Strong understanding of automotive engineering standards and changes.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop routing components for automotive wire harness systems.
• Create detailed CAD drawings and technical publications.
• Conduct tests and validate designs against requirements and standards.
• Collaborate with customers, Product/Manufacturing Engineering, suppliers and teams.
• Provide technical guidance and participate in problem solving.
