Job summary

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of CAD experience, a Mechanical Engineering degree, proficiency in CATIA V5 or SolidWorks, and a good grasp of plastics molding, tooling, and basic electrical principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of professional experience in CAD design.
• Advanced knowledge of CAD tools (CATIA V5 and/or SolidWorks).
• Good understanding of plastic molding and tooling processes, metal stamping, and basic electrical principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate 3D models and technical drawings per customer specifications and project requirements.
• Perform tolerance analysis to ensure functionality and manufacturability.
• Apply GD&T and DFM/DFA guidelines to optimize performance.
• Support development of automotive connection systems including connectors and wiring solutions.
• Manage Part Number Requests (PNRs) for prototype and production phases.
• Coordinate validations, inspections, and testing activities using engineering tools.
• Maintain technical documentation, manuals, and engineering records.
