Job summary

Syone is seeking an Application Support Engineer to provide first and second-level support for its applications, ensuring stability and timely issue resolution from Lisbon.

You will analyze issues, coordinate patches, automate routine tasks with scripting, and collaborate with infrastructure and development teams to ensure smooth performance and delivery. Fluency in English is required for ongoing communication.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of RedHat Linux and general IT infrastructure.
• Experience with Application Performance Monitoring tools.
• Cloud experience with Kubernetes and cloud services (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud).
• Experience with middleware (VIP, WAF) and databases (RDBMS, NoSQL, File Storage).
• Knowledge of Oracle Exadata and ETL tools (IBM DataStage).
• Experience in Continuous Delivery and release management.
• Excellent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Support the business by understanding IT needs, workflows, and scenarios.
• Provide timely updates on issues, tasks, and projects to the business, team members, and partner teams.
• Analyze underlying issues, assess patches/releases, and identify systemic problems.
• Contribute to improving post-release checkouts and operational processes.
• Enhance daily operations by writing scripts and automating procedure-oriented tasks.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and development teams to ensure smooth application performance and delivery.
