Job summary

Decskill is seeking an Application Production Support specialist to act as the primary contact for IT production tasks, incidents, and changes.

You will manage incidents and changes using ITSM tools, collaborate with developers, analysts and end users, and ensure SLAs are met while supporting releases and environment readiness.

The role emphasizes ITIL alignment, security guidelines, and a strong focus on production stability across multiple environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in Application Production Support or similar IT production support role.
• Experience providing technical and functional support for applications in production environments.
• Strong experience with incident, request, problem, and change management.
• Experience working with ITSM tools and Service Management processes.
• Knowledge of SQL (MS SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Sybase).
• Experience with Windows, Windows Server, Linux/RHEL, and UNIX/AIX.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for IT Production-related tasks and inquiries.
• Track, manage, and resolve incidents, requests, problems, and changes using ITSM tools.
• Monitor infrastructure and application layers across production environments.
• Prepare environments for application releases and perform pre-production testing.
• Support migrations, re-hosting activities, batch configuration, and infrastructure changes.
• Provide on-call support during required time windows.
• Contribute to ITIL-based incident management and continuous improvement.

We are looking for an Application Production Support!

Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary point of contact for IT Production-related tasks and enquiries, providing support and guidance to end-users, Developers, and Business Analysts.
• Track, manage, and resolve incidents, support requests, problems, and changes using ITSM tools, ensuring IT services are restored within agreed SLAs.
• Follow Incident Management processes and ITIL best practices.
• Monitor infrastructure and application layers across production environments, ensuring the smooth operation of critical and non‑critical applications.
• Apply Group guidelines, IT best practices, and IT Security recommendations.
• Prepare environments for application releases and perform pre‑production testing.
• Support the successful implementation of application releases and production changes.
• Provide technical and functional support for the bank's in‑house and third‑party applications.
• Monitor production environments, identify potential issues, and contribute to incident prevention and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with Development teams on application management activities.
• Support migrations, re‑hosting activities, batch configuration, infrastructure changes, and application releases.
• Manage communication with internal clients and stakeholders, providing timely updates on incidents, requests, and production activities.
• Provide on‑call support during required time windows, when applicable.
• Contribute to Digital Transformation initiatives, including the adoption of new technologies and working methodologies such as Automation, Monitoring, Agile, DevOps, and ITIL.

Requirements:

• Experience in Application Production Support or a similar IT production support role.
• Experience providing technical and functional support for applications in production environments.
• Strong experience with incident, request, problem, and change management.
• Experience working with ITSM tools and Service Management processes.
• Knowledge of SQL, preferably Microsoft SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Sybase.
• Experience with operating systems such as Windows, Windows Server, Linux/RHEL, and UNIX/AIX.
• Knowledge of file transfer technologies, including CFT, MQ, FTaaS, FTP, SFTP, and PeSIT.
• Knowledge of automation and monitoring technologies, including Batch, Autosys, DevOps/SecDevOps, Jenkins, Ansible, and Dynatrace.
• Knowledge of the banking sector.
• Knowledge of networking technologies, including LAN, VPN, LDAP, and Active Directory.
• Knowledge of encryption technologies such as PGP and GPG.
• Knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including DMZ/dMZR, virtual machines, Cloud, Load Balancers, Firewalls, and Terraform.
• Knowledge of security technologies and concepts, including TLS/SSL, SSH, PKI, certificates, SAST, and DAST.
• Knowledge of Cloud environments, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow, JIRA, ITSM, and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to work closely with Development teams, Business Analysts, end‑users, and other stakeholders.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and demanding production environment.
• ITIL certification is a plus.
