Damia, a specialist tech recruitment agency in Portugal, represents a client nationwide seeking an experienced Application Integration Specialist. The role focuses on integrating corporate systems and digital platforms through REST APIs, microservices and event-driven architectures, with a strong emphasis on scalability and performance.

You will design, implement and operate integrations, manage middleware such as Tibco, work with Apache Kafka, and contribute to cloud-based modernization

Qualificações

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in application integration roles.
• Experience with REST APIs, web services and API management.
• Experience with Kafka and integration middleware (Tibco or similar).
• Knowledge of JavaScript and software development principles.
• Familiarity with Agile, DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Fluent English written and spoken.

• Evolve the integration framework and support the application transformation roadmap.

About the role:

What you'll do:

• Participate in the analysis of integration requirements between corporate systems and digital platforms.
• Design, implement and operate integrations based on APIs, microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Contribute to the evolution of our client's integration framework and to strategic initiatives within their application transformation roadmap.
• Manage, configure and optimise enterprise integration platforms, ensuring high levels of availability, performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary business and IT teams in the design and implementation of innovative technology solutions.
• Contribute to the integration of Cloud solutions, namely Artificial Intelligence services, into the corporate ecosystem.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in Application Integration roles or related technology areas.
• Involvement in projects covering the design, development and operation of system integration solutions.
• Implementation, consumption and management of REST APIs, Web Services and API Management platforms.
• Strong command of integration architectures and Event Streaming, preferably Apache Kafka.
• Experience with integration middleware platforms, namely Tibco or equivalent technologies.
• Knowledge of JavaScript and software development principles.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Cloud and distributed architectures is valued.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.
