Claranet Portugal is looking for an Apache Kafka DevOps Engineer to join our technical team responsible for operating and evolving a critical data platform in Lisbon. You will administer the Kafka stack, work on cluster architecture, configure Kafka Connect and Schema Registry, and implement security controls while ensuring performance and reliability.

Fluency in Portuguese and English is required. We value CCaaK certification and offer health insurance, meal facilities, and regular teambuilding

• Experience in Apache Kafka administration.
• Strong knowledge of Azure.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.
• Strong problem-solving and technical communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Administer and evolve the Apache Kafka platform.
• Work on cluster architecture, including Brokers, KRaft, replication, and min.insync.replicas.
• Configure and manage Kafka Connect and Schema Registry using Avro / JSON.
• Implement security controls such as mTLS and ACLs.
• Tune platform performance, including JVM, retention, and cleanup policies.
• Manage storage and Persistent Volumes.
• Support incident resolution and continuous platform improvement.
