Claranet limited is seeking an Apache Kafka DevOps Engineer to join a technical team responsible for the operation and evolution of a critical data platform in Lisbon.

You will administer Kafka, tune performance, manage brokers and schemas, and implement security controls. Fluent Portuguese and English are required, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

• Experience in Apache Kafka administration.
• Strong knowledge of Azure.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.
• Strong problem-solving and technical communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Administer and evolve the Apache Kafka platform.
• Work on cluster architecture, including Brokers, KRaft, replication, and min.insync.replicas.
• Configure and manage Kafka Connect and Schema Registry using Avro / JSON.
• Implement security controls such as mTLS and ACLs.
• Tune platform performance, including JVM, retention, and cleanup policies.
• Manage storage and Persistent Volumes.
• Support incident resolution and continuous platform improvement.
