Aubay Portugal is hiring a mid-level Kafka developer to join a distributed backend team in Lisbon. You will design and implement Kafka producers and consumers, work with APIs and microservices, and ensure reliable data integration across real-time systems.

Required at least 3 years in Kafka development, strong Java backend experience, and English B2. The role offers hybrid work with one day a week in the office and focus on quality and collaboration.

• Minimum 3 years of Kafka development experience.
• Strong backend development in Java.
• Experience with APIs and microservices.
• Proficient in English (B2 level) and team collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain solutions based on Apache Kafka, focusing on event-driven architectures;
• Design and implement Kafka producers and consumers within distributed systems;
• Manage and monitor real-time data flows, ensuring seamless system integration through messaging;
• Resolve incidents, optimize performance, and collaborate with development, architecture, and operations teams.
