UMO is seeking a seasoned Android developer to own native Android features and security for a fintech platform. You will collaborate with backend teams to deliver real-time data workflows and multi-asset dashboards, while championing secure, maintainable mobile code.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, modern Kotlin architecture, and proactive testing. Remote-ready with flexible arrangements and a strong growth path within UMO.

Qualifications

• Commercial Android Depth: 3+ years of experience building native Android apps in Kotlin with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP).
• Modern Architecture & Jetpack: MVVM/MVI, Clean Architecture; ViewModel, Flow, Navigation.
• UI & Reactive Mastery: Jetpack Compose (or XML Views) with Kotlin Coroutines and Flow.
• Mobile Security Focus: Keystore management, code obfuscation, secure data storage for financial apps.
• Testing & Quality Craft: Unit tests (JUnit, Mockito/MockK), strong debugging skills.
• Autonomous Execution & Ownership: End-to-end feature ownership from design to production.
• Transparent Collaboration: English communication, cross-squad context sharing, zero tolerance for rudeness.

Responsibilities

• Native Feature Development: Build, test, and maintain high-performance native Android features (account views, real-time transaction feeds, payments, dashboards).
• Secure API Integration: Collaborate with backend squads to securely handle real-time financial data via REST.
• Mobile Security Architecture: Implement client-side security measures including biometric auth, Android Keystore, certificate pinning, and MFA flows.
• Code Quality & App Health: Write unit/integration tests; lead code reviews; monitor memory/resource usage.
• Agile Planning & Alignment: Participate in sprint planning; provide estimates; align roadmap with Product Management.
• AI-Augmented Execution: Use Cursor/Claude/GitHub Copilot to accelerate UI iteration and test generation.
