Work Model: Hybrid — alternating 1 week onsite and 1 week remote

About The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Cobol / DB2 Analyst Programmer to join a banking project. You will contribute to technical analysis, software development and testing, ensuring quality delivery within agreed deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform technical analysis and develop Cobol software in Batch and Online environments.


• Execute unit tests and support functional testing.


• Work with DB2, including CRUD operations, data models and performance tuning.


• Participate in on-call support for overnight batch processing.

Mandatory Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in the relevant technical skills.


• Experience developing Cobol applications in Batch and Online environments.


• Experience with DB2: CRUD operations, data models and performance tuning.


• Knowledge of JCL, TSO/ISPF and EOS.


• Knowledge of TDD/BDD and Continuous Delivery.


• Portuguese and English language skills.


• Availability for the hybrid schedule in Lisbon and overnight batch on-call support.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of the banking sector.


• Familiarity with Scrum methodology.
