Job summary

LBC is a strategic consultancy focused on AI-driven transformation, delivering projects across multiple sectors. The AI Engineer will design, develop, integrate and deploy AI solutions for clients and LBC's internal AI-powered transformation.

You will work in multidisciplinary teams to turn business requirements into reliable applications, covering discovery through deployment and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with AI engineers, data scientists, software developers and governance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE or related field.
• 2+ years programming in Python with best practices.
• 2+ years AI engineering experience including design and deployment.
• Experience deploying on Azure and familiarity with Azure AI Services.
• Experience with LLMs, prompts and agentic workflows.
• Hands-on RAG design with vector databases and retrieval strategies.
• Familiarity with LangChain, Semantic Kernel or HuggingFace Transformers.
• CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker; Kubernetes a plus).
• Experience with REST APIs, databases, Git and cloud environments.
• Awareness of privacy, security and responsible-AI requirements.
• Good English; Portuguese desirable; German a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-enabled applications using generative AI, ML, NLP and document intelligence.
• Develop assistants, copilots, semantic search, recommendation and classification.
• Create RAG pipelines with traceable sources and access controls.
• Integrate models with web apps, APIs, databases, M365, SharePoint and CRM.
• Write clean, modular production code and participate in code reviews.
• Implement prompts, guardrails, routing and fallback mechanisms.
• Prepare data for retrieval, evaluation and application development.
• Evaluate accuracy, latency, cost and reliability.
• Support secure cloud/hybrid deployment with monitoring and incident resolution.
• Apply privacy-by-design and responsible-AI principles throughout development.
• Contribute to internal accelerators, standards and AI products.
• Participate in client workshops, demos, proposals and knowledge transfer.
