Tonic App, a healthcare AI company, is seeking an AI Product Owner to own the product backlog end to end for two products: an AI clinical tool and a data platform. You will translate clinical and commercial needs into priorities, write requirements, and guide sprint delivery with Engineering and Data & AI.

This role sits near Engineering, Data & AI, Design, Clinical and Commercial, reports to the Head of Product, and requires 4–5+ years of PO/PM experience, strong Scrum and stakeholder

Qualificações

• 4-5+ years as a Product Owner, Product Manager or equivalent in a technical product environment.
• Strong practical command of Scrum, Agile methodologies and sprint-based development, including backlog refinement and prioritisation.
• Proven ability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria and requirements, and to break complex problems into buildable pieces.
• Enough technical fluency to hold a real conversation with engineers and data scientists about implementation and trade-offs.
• Strong stakeholder management: able to hold a position with commercial, clinical and technical stakeholders in the same week.
• Structured and detail-oriented, comfortable moving fast without letting the documentation slip.
• Full professional proficiency in Portuguese and English.

Responsabilidades

• Backlog ownership: own and continuously refine the backlog across both Tonic AI and Tonic BI, keeping priorities clear, well understood and tied to product, clinical and commercial goals.
• Requirements and user stories: translate user, clinical and commercial needs into precise requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria, including for AI-generated output where “correct” is a judgement rather than a simple test.
• Sprint planning and execution: run the sprint cycle with Engineering and Data & AI, from refinement and planning through delivery, review and iteration.
• AI quality and evaluation: work with the Data & AI team on what we measure, what threshold is good enough to ship, and how we detect regressions in model behaviour.
• Prioritisation: balance two products against one delivery capacity, weighing user impact, commercial return and technical cost, and be able to explain every trade-off you made.
• Product discovery: talk directly to physicians and pharmacists, and to the commercial team on the life sciences / healthcare services side, then turn what you hear into prioritised opportunities.
• Quality and compliance: keep product work aligned with the requirements that come with a CE-marked medical device, supported by our regulatory team – clear requirements, traceable decisions, controlled changes.
• Multi-market rollout: support launches across our markets, accounting for language, local clinical practice and regulatory differences.
• Communication and documentation: write clear product documentation and keep decisions, priorities and trade-offs legible across the company.
• Continuous improvement: help the team sharpen its product development process, ways of working and delivery practices.
