Lever, Inc. is seeking an AI Process Forward Deployed Engineer based in Portugal to lead AI-powered process automation deployments for enterprise production environments.

You will own customer deployments end-to-end, from initial workflow setup to measurable improvements and handoff, while collaborating across Java services and React UIs. You will work with AI agents, workflow orchestration, and platform integrations, delivering repeatable patterns and best practices for global customers in a

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering and operating software in enterprise production environments.
• Strong software engineering capabilities across distributed systems and integrations.
• Experience with Java-based services and React interfaces.
• Practical production experience with AI technologies and agent-based workflows.
• Ability to explain BPMN workflows to technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong customer and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end deployment journeys from initial workflow to production.
• Establish successful customer outcomes and measurable improvements.
• Build and customize product capabilities including AI agents and skill files.
• Configure platform environments, clusters and integrations; troubleshoot failures.
• Develop custom agents and integrations when needed.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture and customer teams to drive adoption.
• Document deployment patterns and create repeatable playbooks.
• Train customer teams to operate and improve post-handoff.
• Contribute engineering insights to product evolution.
• Travel occasionally to support engagements.
