OLX is seeking an AI-native Staff Backend Engineer to work remotely from Portugal across Motors, Real Estate, OLX Classifieds and Platforms. You will tackle scalable problems, design AI agent context pipelines, and mentor engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Strong ownership, deep distributed-systems knowledge, and hands-on coding in Golang, Java/Kotlin, and PHP are essential. Expect a challenging, high-impact role focused on modern backend architectures and API design.

Qualificações

• Strong ownership and accountability for AI-driven backend work.
• Deep expertise in scalable distributed systems and modern software architectures.
• Experience with large-scale web applications and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication in English across engineering, product, and leadership.

Responsabilidades

• Architect context pipelines for AI agents to ensure reliable, mergeable code outputs.
• Prepare task specifications with clear acceptance criteria and constraints.
• Design and maintain agent-ready systems with bounded repos and thorough test suites.
• Lead migration from a legacy monolith to microservices; define bounded domains.
