Job summary

Accenture Portugal is seeking an AI Engineer (Software) to design, build, and ship production-grade software across the full stack. You will use AI-assisted tooling as a standard practice, connecting full‑stack systems to agentic backends and AI pipelines.

You will work on diverse client programs, delivering production-ready software, while collaborating with teams to ensure reliability, latency, and cost-aware AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience using AI tools in day-to-day engineering work, including production calls to LLM APIs.
• Experience with full-stack development and producing production-grade software across the stack.

Responsibilities

• Use AI coding assistants daily as a standard part of delivery, with measurable impact on productivity and output quality.
• Integrate LLM APIs into production applications, managing token limits, latency, and abstraction layers.
• Apply AI across the full software delivery lifecycle: AI-generated tests, AI-assisted debugging, AI-accelerated code review, and prompt engineering.
• Own the quality of AI-generated outputs in your delivery scope and know when outputs are production-ready.
• Define and track KPIs to evaluate AI-assisted workflows and present metrics to stakeholders.
• Own delivery end-to-end—from design through production support—in Agile sprint cycles.
• Contribute to shared knowledge bases, reusable components, and internal AI tooling standards.
• Build and integrate application layers, APIs, and interfaces connecting full-stack systems to AI backends.
