PagerDuty in Lisbon is seeking an early-career AI/ML Engineer to work at the intersection of large-scale distributed systems and machine learning. You will help build AI features that run in production at PagerDuty’s scale—incidents AI agents, event intelligence, and the LLM-powered capabilities embedded across our platform.

You’ll collaborate with platform, product, and applied-research teams, participate in code reviews and pairing, and gradually take on more ownership as you learn to optimize

Qualificações

• 2+ years of software engineering experience.
• Degree in CS/a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with modern AI — building with LLMs, prompting, retrieval, or agent frameworks.
• Exposure to distributed systems and scalable software.
• Familiarity with cloud infra, containers, or Kubernetes.
• Experience with AI tooling and open-source contributions.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to AI-powered features — LLM agents, retrieval, event intelligence, and more.
• Build and maintain systems behind AI features, including orchestration, pipelines, integrations, and inference services.
• Reason about latency, throughput, cost, and reliability of LLM-powered services.
• Take AI features from prototype to production and support monitoring and guardrails.
• Collaborate with platform, product, and applied-research teams; participate in code reviews and pairing.
