Job summary

act digital in Lisbon is seeking an experienced AI Governance lead to design and implement the organization’s AI governance model, aligning with regulatory, business and risk requirements.

You will define the AI governance framework, establish structures, policies, controls and decision rights across the AI lifecycle, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure EU AI Act compliance and responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years in IT governance projects.
• 2+ years hands-on AI governance project experience.
• Experience defining governance policies, frameworks or operating models.
• Strong knowledge of operating models, governance frameworks and enterprise governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition and design of the organization's AI governance model.
• Define the AI governance framework including structures, policies and controls.
• Ensure alignment with EU AI Act and Responsible AI principles.
• Design governance for the AI solution lifecycle from ideation to retirement.
• Define roles, responsibilities, decision rights and accountability across the lifecycle.
• Develop AI governance policies, standards, guidelines and control frameworks.
• Integrate AI risk management, model governance and data governance.
• Translate governance requirements into practical operating models and controls.
• Develop the AI governance roadmap with milestones and priorities.
• Lead workshops with senior stakeholders to gather requirements and decisions.
