Job summary

Inetum Portugal is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (AI & GenAI) to ensure reliability and performance of AI-powered solutions across development, UAT, pre-production, andProduction environments. You will implement monitoring, define SLOs/SLIs, and automate deployments with CI/CD and IaC practices.

The role requires strong Linux/Unix skills, Python/FastAPI experience, and hands-on Kubernetes/Docker with Terraform, plus Azure cloud familiarity. Hybrid work model in Portugal is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Production Engineering, Application Operations, or Production Support in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and production operations.
• Experience supporting apps built with Python/FastAPI, APIs, cloud-native services, or similar.
• Hands-on scripting with Python/Bash and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release automation.
• Solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC tools like Terraform.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of observability and log management tools such as Dynatrace or Splunk.
• Familiarity with SRE principles: SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, postmortems, toil reduction.
• Experience contributing to cloud transformation or platform modernization.
• Understanding of databases and distributed systems (PostgreSQL, pgvector, Azure Blob Storage).
• Fluent English (minimum B2); French a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operation, stability, and availability of AI/GenAI applications across all environments.
• Implement and manage monitoring, alerting, and dashboards for reliability.
• Define and monitor SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets to drive reliability culture.
• Participate in incident management, troubleshooting, and on-call activities.
• Conduct post-incident reviews and implement corrective actions.
• Automate operations, deployments, and support via scripting and CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute to platform modernization with containerization and DevOps best practices.
• Collaborate with Development, Cloud, Infrastructure, Security, Network, and Database teams.
• Lead continuous improvements for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
