Job summary

Wire IT, based in Portugal, seeks a Senior AI Solution Engineer to join its agile team in Vila Nova de Gaia / Porto on a hybrid schedule (2 days in the office). You will translate business problems into AI use cases, collaborating across engineering, data science and platform teams to deliver scalable ML solutions.

Applicants should have 5+ years in software engineering, hands-on ML with LLMs/RAG, Azure AI services, and a solid DevOps background, plus fluent English.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Knowledge of Agentic AI systems.
• Experience with core machine learning concepts and their practical implementation.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platforms and AI services.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps practices.
• Experience developing microservices using Flask, Django, or Spring (Java).
• Practical experience with GitHub Copilot and other AI-powered developer tools.
• Ability to translate business problems into AI use cases and technical solutions.
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams using Scrum and/or Kanban.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering, data science, and platform teams.
• Ability to document solutions, support technical handovers, and mentor junior colleagues.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
