A Bolt, uma insurtech em expansão, procura um líder técnico de IA com forte experiência em IA/LLM para guiar a squad de AI, definindo estratégia, padrões e entrega de soluções de IA escaláveis. Liderará engenheiros, cientistas de dados e trabalhará com Produto/Legal para cumprir requisitos regulatórios.

Você manterá atuação hands-on, garantindo infraestruturas de IA robustas, monitoramento de modelos e conformidade com privacidade e segurança.

Qualificações

• 8+ anos de experiência em engenharia, incluindo 3+ anos em liderança técnica ou gestão de engenharia.
• Com histórico comprovado de liderar uma equipe que entregou produtos IA/LLM do início ao fim.
• Capacidade técnica para revisar arquitetura, definir padrões de engenharia (prompting, avaliação, guardrails) e destravar a equipe hands-on.
• Experiência em transformar metas de negócio em roadmaps técnicos (avaliação de modelos, custo/benefício).
• Liderança de pessoas: contratação, mentoria e gestão de desempenho de engenheiros IA.
• Parcerias multifuncionais com Produto, Compliance/Legal e Vendas, especialmente em governança de IA em indústria regulamentada.
• Experiência com estratégia de fornecedores/modelos: avaliação de provedores de LLM, trade-offs custo/desempenho, build-vs-buy.
• Sólidos conhecimentos de LLMOps e da infraestrutura necessária para escalar recursos de IA em uma plataforma SaaS.
• Capacidade de comunicar estratégia de IA, riscos e resultados a stakeholders não técnicos.
• Manter atuação prática com ferramentas de engenharia assistida por IA e manter credibilidade técnica com a equipe.

Responsabilidades

• Desenhar e escalar infraestrutura de IA/ML pronta para produção, pipelines de dados e arquiteturas de sistemas.
• Gerenciar o ciclo de vida completo de modelos de IA, desde prototipagem até implantação, monitoramento e CI contínuo.
• Gerenciar, orientar e desenvolver uma equipe de engenheiros IA e data scientists.
• Colaborar com produto, design e liderança para traduzir metas de negócio em roadmaps de IA.
• Avaliar e escolher modelos base, frameworks de código aberto e infraestrutura de IA na nuvem.
• Estabelecer padrões de engenharia, revisão de código e melhores práticas na equipe de IA.
• Monitorar custos de computação em nuvem e de API relacionados a treinamento e inferência.
• Garantir conformidade com leis de privacidade de dados, segurança e guarda de ética em IA.
• Implementar ferramentas de observabilidade para acompanhar drift de modelos, latência e confiabilidade do sistema.

In this position you will...

Lead the AI squad's people, roadmap, and technical standards - translating business priorities into a coherent AI strategy across the AI Rater, conversational AI, and internal productivity tooling - while staying hands-on.

You will be responsible for...

• Designing and scaling production-ready AI/ML infrastructure, data pipelines, and system architectures.
• Leading the end-to-end lifecycle of AI models from prototyping to deployment, monitoring, and continuous integration.
• Managing, mentoring, and growing a high-performing team of AI engineers and data scientists.
• Partnering with product, design, and executive leadership to translate business goals into technical AI roadmaps.
• Evaluating and choosing optimal foundation models, open-source frameworks, and cloud AI infrastructure.
• Establishing rigorous engineering best practices, coding standards, and review processes across the AI team.
• Monitoring and optimizing cloud compute and API costs related to model training and inference.
• Ensuring AI systems comply with data privacy laws, security protocols, and ethical guardrails.
• Implementing robust observability tools to track model drift, latency, and overall system reliability.

You will require the following qualifications and skills

• 8+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ years in a technical lead or engineering management role
• Proven track record leading a team that shipped AI/LLM-powered products end-to-end
• Technical depth to review architecture, set engineering standards (prompting, evaluation, guardrails), and unblock the team hands-on
• Experience owning a technical roadmap and translating business goals (automated rating, lead qualification, agent copilots) into engineering plans
• People leadership: hiring, mentoring, and performance management across AI Engineers and Senior AI Engineers
• Cross-functional partnership with Product, Compliance/Legal, and Sales - especially on AI governance in a regulated industry
• Experience with vendor/model strategy: evaluating LLM providers, cost/performance tradeoffs, build-vs-buy calls
• Strong grasp of LLMOps and the infrastructure needed to scale AI features reliably across a SaaS platform
• Skilled at communicating AI strategy, risk, and results to non-technical stakeholders and leadership
• Stays hands-on with AI-assisted engineering tools and retains technical credibility with the team
